What is 300 series stainless steel ?

300 series stainless steel is a series of austenitic stainless steel consist of chromium-nickel alloys. It can only be hardened by cold working method. These grades of stainless steel mainly contain chromium (about 18% to 30%) and nickel (about 6% to 20%). 300 series stainless steel alloy has high corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and strong oxidation resistance.
