Navigation Table

What is CF8C Stainless Steel ?

It is a kind of high alloy steel that can resist corrosion in air or chemical corrosion medium. Its surface is beautiful and its corrosion resistance is good. CF8C equivalent is 347 stainless steel.

Execution Standard: ASTM A743 / A744 / A351

Because of the chromium content in it, a thin diaphragm is formed on the surface. This diaphragm can separate the oxygen invading from the steel and play a role in corrosion resistance.

In order to maintain the inherent corrosion resistance of this alloy, the steel must contain more than 18% chromium. Due to its high strength and good plasticity, it also often used as a structural strength component.

CF8C equivalent

347 stainless steel

347 austenitic stainless hot strength steel has good corrosion resistance, weldability and thermal strength.

Because 347 stainless steel contains stable element Nb, its intergranular corrosion resistance is good. In acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive media, its corrosion resistance is similar to that of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel containing Ti, so it is widely used in boiler, power generation, petroleum, chemical industry, synthetic fiber, food, papermaking and other industries.

Compared with Ti, Nb is not easy to burn out, so this kind of steel can be used as welding core of austenitic stainless steel. This kind of steel has higher high temperature strength and better oxidation resistance than 316 series.
