CN3M ASTM A743 A744 Grade(UNS): J94652 Alloy Family: Austenitic Stainless Steel Equivalent: Alloy 20 modified
CN3M steel is an austenitic stainless steel used for casting and belongs to ferroalloy stainless steel. UNS number is J94652.
In cast austenitic stainless steel, it has a higher energy content and a higher base cost. It is suitable for rolling ordinary steel plate and section steel.
This stainless steel is suitable for the manufacture of automobiles, tractors, and general machinery. It is used for manufacturing parts under hot rolling or normalizing conditions with little stress and high toughness. All kinds of mechanical parts in large and medium-sized machinery manufacturing, such as forging or pressing pull rod, hook and ring, lever, sleeve, clamp, etc.
The alloy has a higher carbon content, so its tensile strength and impact toughness is higher, it can not be quenched, and its heat treatment process is simple.
Usually, the blank is cut or normalized by forging, and it is used for unimportant structural parts, connections or stamping parts, or as carburized steel.
